Managing Resources

For the curriculum to be effectively enacted by all staff, resources need to available and accessible. The role of subject leaders is to know their subject budget and to ensure that resources are effectively managed. It is the duty of subject leaders to follow the financial policies and procedures before any purchases are made, displaying the highest level of financial integrity, and making purchasing decisions considering value for money. It is the role of the subject leader to ensure that physical resources are organised and stored safely. Keeping a stocklist of items purchased ensures that subject leaders know where items are located (e.g., each classroom having a globe).
